Pretty sure he is here for Bayou Night tonight and will stay a few days. Probably leaving Monday or Tuesday. Him going to be here a few days has been confirmed. If he is not here tonight he will be here in the morning.
Been hanging around with all the prospects and current LSU players, especially Charles Scott and Michael Ford. Went to a few of the bars with everyone after Bayou Night, etc... Dixon is on his way to meet up with everyone as well and almost positive the Reed to visit Bama this weekend rumor is false. Lache told Scott: " Yeah man it is good to be back home." :yelwink2:
Bhelm, what do you feel are LSU's chances with Lache Seastrunk? Are we really in it or is he just leading everyone on? Any late news on Storm other than he is still visiting places?
We are more than just in it. I have said from the beginning we continue to be in the lead. Dixon made a comment today about how Lache and Reed talk about LSU a lot with him and Auburn just a little. When Hurd and Lewis jump into the conversation the LSU talk really picks up. As for Storm, he is remaining quiet like I suspected he would. If he decides to take some visits the LSU staff will be informed about it before we are IMO.
Yeah I thought that "They talk about LSU and sometimes Auburn" line said a lot. I think Lache is definitely interested in AU but I don't think he's leaning nearly as far toward them as they're hearing. They could very well end up with him, but I like our shot. I've heard from people that Baylor should not be counted out as well.
Also according Trovon the Lache and Auburn stuff is being blown out of proportion. I honestly don't think Auburn has ever lead for him. But there has been interest in them because he likes the staff.
This is great news. I'm starting to feel really good about our chances again. I challenge anyone to think of a backfield in the history of college football or NFL that had better speed at QB and RB than what LSU would have with Shepard and Seastrunk. The only one that would come close would have been if Vince Young would have stayed QB at Tennessee when they signed Chris Johnson. Its going to be electric the next couple years in Tiger Stadium. We are going to have the funnest offense to watch in the NCAA.
