I hope everything works out for him now that Bama has picked up their QB. I am not sure if Bama is looking for another QB but I do know this is not going how TB hoped. He thought he could have been the only QB in this class if he went to Bama. According to a close friend of his that was the impression he had. There is still talk among his friends that he will work to earn a spot with LSU or Bama at another position, mainly safety. I just don't see it working out that way as the starting QB for Capital High. I do not think there is any chance LSU will offer another position. Maybe as an ATH if he shows his running ability this year because he did not do much running last year with his knee injury but I still don't see it as of now. TB will have to have a great year at QB this year without injury slowing him down and hope that another school can come into the picture. I am sure he will do it too because he is a strong-headed kid who is known to fight through adversity. I am pulling for him.
I think they have a real good chance and the race for TB might turn out to be who is going to take him as a QB. Having flashes of Pat White's recruiting process without the exceptional running ability.
This is what I was talking about the other day. A few weeks ago he planned on being in Bama for the Spring Game. http://www.2theadvocate.com/sports/lsu/featured/43213177.html
LSU is still not recruiting TB much but there is a good reason based on the last few updates. If we end up needing him at QB, I am fairly confident he would jump on it. We will see how it plays out with other QBs higher on the board. I do not see him committing until close to NSD so he will be available IMO if we need him. He tries not to show to much to LSU because he says he is interested in teams that are interested in him. Says he is really good friends with Shep as well so he will be watching us next year. Also said Bama was his leader early on but that is not the case anymore. Says he will probably come to the camp this summer because of Crowton's request for him to attend. I think we will use that time to see if he could be of use at another position, maybe safety. I would say Ole Miss is his leader.
Well looks like Broadway has been promoted to the starter in Houston. Bad night... They lost Case Keenum for the season with a torn ACL and then lost the backup with a broken collarbone in the same game.
