I have found as much film on montana that i possibly could. i am still trying to see why we offered him so early,he looked like a 3 star at best. Montana displayed a decent but accurate arm. I was not impressed with his athletic ability being that he is being considered a dual threat. Terrance Broadway should have been offered before montana......

Broadway knows that LSU is going to offer but the LSU staff wants to offer him in person like they do for most of the top in-state prospects.

Don't think so. He is likely coming in for the Summer camp.

BTW, rumors are that Montana will commit to Ohio St. at their Spring game.

    Per request:

Crowton went to see him practice last week and he said we could possibly get a visit soon. However, we are a long shot for his services to say the least.

He said he wants to go to a school with a pro-style offense and that LSU and Ohio St. have a mix of spread and pro-style that might suit him but it could be a reach.

Looks like ND is out front with UGA 2nd. I would put Ohio St. 3rd at this point.

Says he will take 2 more visits to LSU and Wash before making his decision.

He also said OSU, UGA, and LSU were recruiting him the hardest.

Interesting but I still do not see him ending up here.

Are we talking about pedigreed dog's or quarterback's becuase i really dont care who his dad is im not impressed. Montana is not a must have frankly i dont know why we even offered the kid. i don't think he would ever crack the starting the lineup even if he did sign here. if were going to dedicate or resources out of state i think we should spend it on a bigger fish.....just my opinion

I know what you mean. LSU's really in a position to be very selective.

But I think it was intangibles that made Joe Montana so great. It was his ability to deliver in the clutch and that is all mental. His heart and desire as well as his ability to lead are what made him great.

I guess coaches are hoping that some of the dad is carried over in the son somehow... maybe in part genetic; maybe in part the way his son was raised. Maybe it's a baseless hope, maybe it's not. I don't know.

I wish Rudy played for LSU and Joe Montana too. :).

Ohio St. seems to have given up on Montana and are now offering other QBs. Montana looks to be heading to ND as expected and may even be a silent commit at this point.
