ESPN made the same comparison, and yeah, Reesing a very good NCAA QB. Its is a real shame this young man wasn't blessed with his uncle Brett's physical measurables because this is the only thing keeping this kid from being recruited by BCS level schools. Favre is like a clone of Kansas QB Todd Reesing Dylan Favre - College Football Recruiting 2010 - ESPN
I'm very happy for Dylan and I think that this is a great fit. Both State and Dylan Favre win in this situation. Thanks once again for the info, bhelm.:thumb:
Led his high school to a 4A State Championship, Mississippi's Mr. Football, Mississippi's Gatorade Player of the Year... He reminds me a lot of Blake Matherne, an amazing high school QB out of Louisiana the year before last... Blake was Louisiana Mr. Football, 4A Player of the Year, and led Belle Chase to a 4A State Championship over Archbishop Shaw. I got to see the kid play in person in the championship game and he was flat-out amazing. The problem was that he was too small (5'10, 180 pounds) so he didn't get recruited by any big-time football programs. He's at Nicholls now. As for Dylan Favre, that's cool to see that MSU and Mullen gave him a shot. It will be interesting to see how he does. I'll be rooting for him to do well (except against LSU of course).
The Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department has arrested 20-year-old Dylan Dewayne Favre today on a charge of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, said Chief Deputy Shane Tucker. Tucker said the arrest occurred after a traffic stop by a convenience store located near Pearl River Community College. Deputies found marijuana and paraphernalia-type items, he said. Favre is the nephew of the NFL’s career passing leader Brett Favre. Read more here: http://www.sunherald.com/2012/04/18...rrested-on-drug-possession.html#storylink=cpy
