2010 LSU recruits. When will we get the first commit, and who will it be? Some were saying that they expected a few commits at Junior Day a few days ago, but it doesn't look like we got any. So, I'm just curious what you gentlemen think. When will the first potential 2010 Tiger recruit jump on board......and who will out first few commits be? Many are saying that next year LA will not be as stacked with talent as we were this year, so are we expecting any big out of state commits......besides Seastrunk? Thanks! LSU!:crystal:LSU! Re: 2010 LSU recruits. When will we get the first commit, and who will it be? Since Jr Day was before NSD, I don't think we were expecting any commits. We didn't even give out as many offers as we usually do - and definitely didn't press for commitments. I'm still not sure why we did it that way & if it was a good move. It's still too early to tell on the 2010 class as far as Louisiana talent goes. I know there are several guys that have been impressing at camps for the past few years & will get offered early, but I'm not sure about the depth. Once summer camps get going we'll know a lot more. I have read several articles about out-of-state the guys that are already highly interested in us, but IMO it is very important to have a good season next year to show that last year was an abberation.

Tennessee fans think LB Justin Maclin is very interested in LSU. Chavis has already been by to see him. He's probably a top 100 guy.

I know we have a few threads scattered around about 2010 recruits and I thought it would be nice to have a thread to pop in names to watch out for next year so we can track their comments and results this season. We have already mentioned to RBs: Lache Seastrunk--Texas Michael Dyer--Arkansas Marcus Lattimore--South Carolina DE Joseph Okafor out of Texas was mentioned as well but looks like a strong UT lean. Just saw that Joseph Barksdale has a younger brother who will be a 2010 prospect. DE Dalton Barksdale out of Michigan could be a guy to keep your eye on. Not sure how he stacks up but would be interesting to see brothers possibly starting on both sides of the line at LSU. I cant remember who the top QBs we were expecting to go after next year if someone wants to chime in? S Ronny Vinson--New Orleans has high interest in LSU Another LA guy, WR Jarett Fobbs--Huntington will also be on our radar. Edit: Moved of 1st Post to make room for Offers Page.
