I have to assume that Texas would have the edge there, however I think Alex strongly considered LSU, so that should play well for us if little bro feels like taking his own path.
It's tough to say at this point, but I've heard that he'll probably be more highly regarded/recruited than Richard was. Supposedly, he's already bigger & stronger than Richard was as a Sr.
He apparently has some strong ties to Bama, and may be the first Louisiana recruit that Saban manages to steal from us.
Trovon Reed is a Louisiana guy that I've heard good things about. Rivals currently has him as an athlete, but I believe he projects as a WR in the Percy Harvin mold.
I coach at Capitol. Former Tiger Terrell McGill is on staff and Chad Lavalais came by last week, he might be helping out. This summer Terrence and a few other players attended camp at Alabama. He really liked Saban and the feeling must have been mutual b/c when he got back home Saban called him and offered him a scholarship. If he doesn't end up playing QB Nick would like to have him playing DB. As far as I know T is still open to other schools, he just wants to see what other options there are. As he continues to have a good Jr. year the contacts should start coming in. If Miles wants him he better get going. No one from LSU has shown any interest yet. Knowing Jimbo, if he was still here, he would have made contact by now. We'll see...
OG Chad Lindsay out of Texas said LSU was the 1st to offer and already visited this summer. 6-4 300lbs http://louisianastate.scout.com/a.z?s=107&p=2&c=789175
CB/ATH James Haynes http://lsu.rivals.com/viewprospect.asp?Sport=1&pr_key=84720 http://lsu.rivals.com/content.asp?cid=852590
Aaron Benson, 6' 1" 205 lbs LB out of Texas, has been extended an offer from LSU. He likes LSU and Texas at this point. Miami will probably come into the mix as well as time goes on. LSU will make a big dent in Texas in 2010. Book it.
#3 Byrnes of S.Carolina hosts #18 Pahokee of Florida on ESPNU at 7pm Friday. One of the 2010 RBs who has a offer from LSU Marcus Lattimore plays for Byrnes. http://lsu.rivals.com/viewprospect.asp?pr_key=78023&sport=1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H8lTTpwB_fU
