:geaux: Just read on DD that OL Luke Carpentier from John Curtis is going to commit to Arkansas today or tomorrow. Really, really hate to see this kid go to Ar-Kansas because he stated on many occassions he wanted to go to LSU. Don't know why LSU passed on him, he's obviously an SEC caliber player or Arkansas wouldn't be signing him. Maybe he got caught up in the numbers game, but as thin as we are on O-linemen I would have thought that LSU might've maybe taken a talented in-state kid. Hate to see us lose kids like this. We looked at him some and he made it to both camps I believe but LSU favored Porter and Fordham over him at hose camps. He committed to Arky yesterday or the day before. LSU looks to be done with OL for this class unless someone like James Stone wants to come to LSU. Which is not too likely.
Nothing to back up those rumors at this time and I would say it is nothing to worry about until something concrete comes out.
Rumor was started because a radio station said there is someone who has not been in the mix with Texas for awhile that is going to commit. The radio and internet sites speculated that it was Davis. Davis told TigerSports Digest that all the rumors about Texas, Cal, and A&M are bogus.
UGA commit LB Deon Rogers says he is a medium commit to UGA and he will visit LSU. He is on the same team as Jeff Luc. I will start a thread when more info is released.
Anyone know the kids name(big WR) at Evangel? I know the kids call him "tank". I'm not sure if "Tank" and Eric Thomas are the same person. Thomas only rated 2 stars. But this kid "Tank" is a Beast, yea with a capital B. I've personally never seen him in person, but the highlights look very impressive and the kids that played against him and Fobbs say "Tank" is way better. If "Tank" and Eric Thomas are the same person, just wondering why he is rated so low?
They must be the same because Eric Thomas is considered by some to be the Morris Claiborne of this LA class. Late bloomer on the recruiting scene and someone LSU has their eyes on in case of any fallout at WR. Only known offer is ULM. Another guy to keep an eye on is 3* WR Glen Coleman out of West Jefferson. He has been to all the LSU camps and the staff has always thought highly of him. Has offers from ULL, La Tech, ULM, and USM.
