Sounds like he will stay in FL or head out to USC. He claims some really nice offers from USC, UF, LSU, OM, Tenn, and WV. Deciding on August 28th and has not visited yet so I can't see him landing here even though we are in his top 4.

Must be pretty good to have those offers and many programs are fighting on the few top DT out there this year.

CB Urell Johnson out of O.P. Walker committed to USM. He was hoping to land an LSU offer and with Fobbs to A&M another potential CB off our board.

Hurd's time to shine in 2 weeks at the July Camp.

I believe he is set to decide on Sunday.

i think they had the videos set because the commitment is/was inevitable (to them), and accidentally released it. sucks for him if true.

LB Chase Williams committed to VT.

He is the son of the Saints coordinator who worked for a LSU offer at the June Camp but never got one.

Is it just me or is it something to this? LSU has got two recruits from the state of Alabama this year. Everybody was worried about Coach Satan coming into our state and picking off a top recruit here and there. But as a whole it did not happen yet, Coach Satan got that one DL a couple of years ago when he commited to LSU but then lied to Coach Miles and Coach Miles took his Scholarship back.

Here is my point I am trying to make, we were all worried about Coach Satan coming in an picking off recruits, but to me it is the other way a round. We are picking off a few Alabama recruits, they are not 4 or 5 stars, but they are pretty good players. Didn't we get an OL last year from the state of Alabama? I think Coach Satan should stay home and shore up his own state and don't come here to Louisiana.

Miles and Saban are both very good recruiters. They both hold their home turf pretty well. They both have sniped a non-critical recruit from each others state (Lacy the RB who went to Bama last class). I view it pretty much a standoff. Both have been successful getting good out of state kids from Ga. and Fla. into their schools (ex. Trent Richardson at RB from Fla. to Bama).

Bama has a good coach, he recruits well, and we have to play them every year. Get over the Saban hate and let's just compete with them.

I read over at Tidefans.com, and they all want to make Miles out to be an idiot and intellectually inferior to their beloved Saban. I look at the record and the recruiting classes and I see two comparable coaches, both are good.

Let's recruit the players, coach em up, and go play the games. Let the chips fall, and see what we got.

The toughest guys out there are the Gators. Meyer recruits well and he coaches em up pretty good too. They are in the east and we have to play them every year. That's the benchmark right now; we have to be able to compete with the Gators, and if so, we'll be fine.

We were too inexperienced at QB last year, and the defensive coordinator stuff didn't work out last year. We have a little more experience at QB, but will still be starting a soph who started 2 games, with a soph backing him up, with 2 true frosh backing them up. Still NO Jr. or Sr. QB. That is NOT a day at the beach in the SEC. We are still too inexperienced at QB for the second season in a row. We need to be a lot smarter recruiting at the QB position in future years and not allow ourselves to get that inexperienced if we lose one guy, ever again. It hurt us bad last year, I expect it will hurt us at least a little this year. I like the o-line, RB and receivers and hopefully they will make it easier for the still young JJ.
