4 confirmed visits to LSU this weekend:

LB Justin Maclin out of Tenn

WR James Wright out of Belle Chase-- He is LSU if we offer.

DE Kaleb Eulls out of MS

RB/WR Demarco Cobbs is coming back for another visit this weekend

How many WR's do you think we will take this year? We already have one and will wait on Reed. James Wright is a sleeper and has no offers listed on Rivals. The other 3 visiting or top flight recruits and well known.

Probably 3 this year but maybe 4 since we only took one last year. The staff will have a better idea after fall practice when they get a feel for Calhoun and Morris. One might be recruited as an athlete.

Wright was just offered by A&M and has offers from Stanford, Minnesota, La Tech, and UL Monroe.

He has interest from Bama and Florida as well.

He is one that we want to evaluate at Camp this summer before handing out an offer because it is possible he would want to commit on the spot.

That is what I expected. We need to see him up close and personal to evaluate him. I know his coach raves about him, but he could be biased.:yelwink2:

Reggie Wilson DE committed to Texas, bringing their total to 21. I don't mind Texas using up their schollys at this position at all. This is a position where we are in good shape with Benay Pryor and Jordan. If we can get one more big time prospect from out of state like Eulls from MS. and we are set.

I agree it depends on Calhoun & Morris, and I'm thinking 3 as well.

Interesting. I keep forgetting about Claiborne. I hope he's as underrated as some folks feel he is.

I keep forgetting about these "athletes" with no set position too. I always tend to lump them into the defensive backfield, never really expecting them to play on the offensive side of the ball.

Any word on the other defensive backs we're targetting? That we have a legitimate shot with?
