I believe all 3 will be at Junior Day.

Expect news of a commit from Simon to come in a couple of hours.

Low turnout today with the past Jr Day being so close to this one.

Vinson was unable to make it.

Jordan Allen was asked to commit but said he wanted some more time. Still says LSU has a strong lead.

Reid did not commit today but still an LSU lock.

Welter is in Montana for a family trip.

Also think in this class we need to build depth at the Oline position and adding some impact LBs would be great as well.

Has anyone predicted class size for the upcoming season yet. Last season we signed 24 and that could conceivably be bumped to 25 depending on what Bryce Brown does in a couple of weeks. I'm still confused about the 25/85 numbers used for predicting class size ... especially after seeing what Alabama and Ole Miss are doing these days.

Any predictions? I'm unsure what to think myself..

We should have a full class of 25 next year or close to it. We have 20 seniors leaving and there is going to be some that leave do to attrition like every other year.

That's what I like about our coach and our program - There's no games or deception. By that I mean there's close to a one to one relationship between scholarships and actual enrollment. If I was a recruit or an advisor to one, I wouldn't have much confidence in a program that vastly oversigns players like Ala and Ole Miss or others. At LSU, if youre offered, you've got a real spot in the class.

I was talking with an Ole Miss booster who was one of my customers and I asked him what was Nutt thinking? and he said that apparently there were a LOT of players left over from Orgeron's tenure who had no chance of sticking around academically next year and Nutt was left with a potential numbers shortage for next year and down the line and he was faced with almost an emergency situation. He had to make sure they had a full class of 25. I'm not sure about Saban and Alabama.

At these 2 schools though, I wouldn't feel confident about about having a scholarship down the road even if I actually was able to enroll freshman year because they deviate so much from the 25 and 85 numbers.

er... I mean signing more than the 25/85. Not enrolling more than the 25/85.

The Vikings will miss him. But he will definitely have an impact early.
