LSU offered WR Kenbrell Thompkins out of El Camino JUCO. He is originally from Miami Northwestern HS but left because he was mixed up with the wrong crowd and got in some trouble. Florida has also offered. 6'2.5 180 4.4 LSU is also offered another JUCO who plays for Palomar CC in Cali who has the same height, weight, and speed as Thompkins, Martavious Lee. He has offers from Mizzou and Ole Miss.
I can not access the 2010 offers page on Rivals since I am not a member. Can someone with a membership look up any guys that I do not have listed who have offers according to Rivals? Thanks
Good move offering these juco receivers. After next year we wont have a lot of experienced depth. Seems like juco's could be a good insurance policy for that situation.
I don't think Mr. Randle saw the Juco competition coming do you? If we get one of these guys, you can consider him Benton's replacement. It looks like Les is a lot smarter and trickier than people give him credit for.
Some tidbits: Texas is expecting another RB commit this weekend and I can't remember who it is but it is not Dontae Williams which is good news for LSU and probably LSU's to lose since Texas will be holding their last spot at RB for Lache. The top WR out of Texas Mike Davis looks like a lean to LSU because he was not offered on his Texas visit and their class is filling up at WR. OU's next target at QB will be Blake Bell who has an offer from LSU. Probably will be a OU/KSU battle.
The other considered to be a lock S prospect out of New Orleans got his offer today, Ronnie Vinson. FYI, I hear Cooper is looking at S Eric Reid as a Cornerback for this class.
It seems that the guys that got offers today (Vinson, Welter, Jacobs) are the most likely to commit early. Will any of them be at junior day next weekend?
Reid would be huge size-wise at CB. I like it. Larger than Dre Kirkpatrick who was praised for his size/ball skills.
