I actually saw an article today saying he received an offer from LSU but Scout and Rivals still do not have him listed as having an offer. I am sure that will be updated soon.
I know he didn't attend the last one. When is the next Junior Day? Do most think he will play TE or DE? We had no TE commits this year so we will probably take at least one next year. Dickson's little brother would be another possibility at TE. Jacobs has nice size 6'5" 245. His 40 time and vertical leap are almost identical to what Rivals has down for Richard Dickson when he came out of high school. Dickson has been such a fixture that no one else has logged any meaningful playing time. You here a lot of coaches and fans refer to a TE being such a versatile athlete that you can often find a spot for him to play at another position. However, I don't think that has been the case for Dickson's backups.
Feb 28th is the next Junior Day and Texas' is on the same day. I think the staff will take 2 TEs next year or at least one true TE and a TE/DE hybrid. We have offered a few TE/DE already and I am not sure what the plans are for Jacobs.
Here is the prospect I really want to steal out of Georgia. TE Brian Vogler 6'8 285 and a basketball player. Not sure if he will stay at that position but I have not heard anything to say he is moving positions. He was offered before Junior Day but never made the trip but has been on the campus before. Sounds like we have a decent shot at him.
That's like the size of LeBron James, just a little heavier. If he plays basketball, he's got to be somewhat athlectic for that size.
S Eric Reid got his offer today in person from Les and Cooper. He plays for Dutchtown and his dad was Hurdles Champ with LSU and currently serving as the assistant director of parking and transportation at LSU.
Great, you would think he would be as close to a lock as we have considering his dad. I hope he commits soon, like today.
