After searching awhile I found out that Dombrowski is the son of Jim Dombrowski who played OL for the Saints. Scott Korte is the son of Steve Korte who also played OL for the Saints. I couldn't find anything on Casanova or Duhe.
So if Scott Korte lands with LSU he will be the 2nd son to play for LSU since FB Stevan Korte just graduated. Has to be a relative of Casanova since they both are from Crowley but not his son because I found an article that said he had a 5 year old son and the article was from 2000. So his son would only be 14 now if the article was correct. We also have a possibility of going after Joseph Barksdale's little brother this year as well.
I went to espn's 150 and there are 7 OL and 3 DL from TX still uncommitted by my count. I don't know how up to date it is, but it should be fairly accurate. I see Texas Tech and Oklahoma already have verbals from TX players. Unfortunately Texas Tech is going to present us with added competition next year for Texas boys because of their recent success. On a side note, if we ever go head to head with Texas Tech over a recruit I would tell the kid to taste the water in Lubbock. I was there a few years ago and it was the worst tasting water I have ever had in my life. I couldn't drink it. The thought of ingesting it in any form, food, ice tea, etc., would be enough to make me attend another school. I am dead serious, it was that bad.
It always amazes me how fast Texas virtually raps up their recruiting every year. They offer a lot of kids early and the kids are pressured into committing to Texas if they want a spot on the team. Seriously, how many NSD guys do they get? The assistants at Texas probably spend less time working at recruiting than any other big time school. They basically pick who they want and go home. I actually think Mack Brown does his team a disservice by not waiting a little longer and putting some of these guys on ice for a little longer to see who emerges as the best players in their senior year.
I looked back at the last 3 Texas classes on Rivals. Each year only one recruit was from some where else besides the lone star state! I had to go back 4 years to find a class where they had more than one guy in it from outside of Texas. How many did they have that year?----2!!!
S Ronnie Vinson says Cooper is the man: http://www.goupstate.com/article/20...S?Title=Vinson_says_Coach_Cooper_Is__The_Man_ Good to see the new coach working his magic.
Vinson is from Newman right? Thinking back to watching that classification from the stands I can say first hand it would be difficult to judge talent until you got a kid into a camp or had a one on one session with him. The overall talent level on most teams is so far away from the typical SEC recruit it would be almost impossible to judge in many cases. I have seen guys break 6 tackles and drag people on unbelievable runs for TD's and get no Division 1 offers because the guys they are running through are just not that good. You can judge some positions better than others though. You can tell if the QB has a good arm for example, and how well kickers and punters are doing, etc..
Surprised not to see WR Markeith Ambles out of Georgia. He's going to end up in the top 25 overall I think. He's got offers from Bama, Florida, and Tennessee plus a handful of others.
