LSU needs another punter in the 2010 class to take over after Helton and Jasper are gone in 2011. Chris Sailer Kicking has him ranked #12 in the Nation, and Kohl's Kicking has him ranked 7th in the Nation. http://www.kohlskicking.com/rating_system/2008_nrs_kp_2010.htm http://www.chrissailerkicking.com/index.php?act=GetContent&cid=39&selyr=2010&fmLNK=10&pp=1 Check out the enormous hang times on these punts. Pretty unusual for a high school punter. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-aizVAabsaA Bio Page http://recruit-match.ncsasports.org/fasttrack/profile/profile.jsp?clientID=28428 This kid loves LSU. I hope he gets his offer.
This is not important at all in the grand scheme of things but Ginsburgh sounds like a jewish name. So whether or not it's true, can anyone name other Jewish athletes that played any sport at LSU? During the Dale Brown era, I know we had Willie Sims, aka the black jet. He was from NYC and played in the Meccabiah games in Israel. Anyway, I wasn't thinking far enough ahead about punters, It seems like only yesterday Derek Helton committed and now he's graduating.
I was about to post this Izzy, glad it is up. Kid comes from a good family and would love for him to end up a Tiger. He attended the 1st Junior Day and is getting interest from a few SEC schools among others.
Leslie Klein was a softball star a few years ago. And then there is this J. Stanley Bertman fellow in baseball . . .
Ginsburg's high school is now a co-ed Catholic one. Back in my hs days - 50s - very few non-Catholics bothered to attend Menard/Providence as they were all-male/all-female. My two oldest sisters graduated from Providence. I attended Bolton with a guy named Ginsburg and he was an athlete. :geaux:
Jonathan was nominated by PrepStar Magazine as a Preseason All-American. He has been invited to the Spring game by Les Miles personally.
Just out punted the #2 Punter in the country at the Wisconsin camp and won Most Outstanding Punter. Will be in for LSU's kicking camp this summer as well. I am sure we are taking a punter in this class and I am pulling for this kid to get an offer during/after the camp. Jamie Kohl: Scott Secor led a stellar batch of kickers at the Kohl's Midwestern Showcase - ESPN
:geaux: Being from Cent. La. I'm always happy to see the local kids succeed. I'm pulling for Jonathan to be a Tiger. :LSU231:
