LSU definately needs a kicker who can put the ball in the end zone and may have found one in Brad Wing of Parkview Baptist. Wing punted 21 times this year for a 41.8 yard average. His high point came early this year when he kicked a 73-yarder from the back of the end zone against Acadiana High. He is an exchange student from Australia where they are required to kick under pressure, so he is accustomed to having bodies around him. LSU appears to be his favorite for now, but Nick Saban has expressed an interest in him. In addition to LSU, Wing has also received offers from McNeese and Northwestern State. Because he has been in this country only a year, he is a real sleeper who has fallen under a lot of radars. Miles could score a coup if he commits to LSU. With the limited number of available scholarships Miles has remaining, I was surprised he even offered a kicker.
Re: Brad Wing receives offer I heard about this a few days ago. All I know about his is he is from Australia and moved here because he wants to punt in college and he has family in Baton Rouge. His dad was also a punter for the Detroit Lions. I would assume the staff is still trying to decide if we will accept a commit from a punter in this class.
Re: Brad Wing receives offer They may prefer he be a walk-on his first year with the promise of a scholarship the following year.
Re: Brad Wing receives offer :geaux: Does this mean that Jonathan Ginsburgh from Alexandria Menard is no longer in the picture? :LSU231:
Re: Brad Wing receives offer I know this kid and he has only been punting since June this year. He is only young and even though he is tall, he still has a lot of muscle to put on. Imagine what he could do when he beefs up and gets more power in that leg!!!!!!!!!! If he is getting these results in 6 months, i can see why the coaching staff are excited. I am too!!!!!
2010 P Brad Wing COMMITS TO LSU!!!! I posted this in the offers thread as well. Australian Punter out of Parkview has committed to LSU. Moved to Baton Rouge with the hopes of punting in college and the NFL one day. Only been punting for a year. Father was the a punter for the Detroit Lions. I am working on finding some film.

Re: 2010 P Brad Wing Commits This guy looks great! The center should try a little harder to snap it over this kid's head.
