I hope Lache is one of those recruits that he talks to. Being an OL that could open up holes for him in the future, I would think that Evan could be quite persuasive! It also doesn't hurt that he's from Texas. :geaux:
I think it's great that Washington won't take any more trips and has essentially ended his recruiting. Maybe that's why he commited and Storm didn't ( so he could take a few trips ). I wonder if Washington said he wanted to still take trips to other universities...would the LSU coaching staff advise him to wait...Hmmmmm?
Washington was ready to get it over with and the recruiting process was wearing on him somewhat. Don't think the staff had to convince him to not take visits in this case.
I agree bhelm, I was just messing around. I really don't think there's much to Storm being asked to wait until he takes all his visits. The sky's not really falling. I'm not a conspiracy theorist because CLM isn't conspiring. He seems real straight up and I don't think he'd play silent commit games with other recruits. Each recruit is unique and I think Miles was able to encourage Storm to wait if he wanted to take some other officials because he's such an LSU lock. Maybe he did this to help discourage other recruits from making a commitment to LSU to lock up a spot so they can still look around elsewhere and still have LSU as a backup plan. Maybe he did this because of what happened in recent recruiting classes. In the end, I think Storm will be a tiger. I was just thinking that, if he was the "must have" no. one recruit on our board and we were in a head to head with Bama and Coach Saban it would be different. But this is Evan Washington's day and thread. He's going to be real happy for the next few years at LSU as an integral part of the purple and gold version of the "seven blocks of granite"...opening up huge holes for the likes of Ford, Johnson, Shepard, and Seastrunk...LSU's version of "the four horsemen of the apocalypse". crystal
I either forgot or didn't hear this before but Evan is expected to enroll early and likely counted back to last class.
I read on Rivals that whatever game he's playing in he has just been okay. Inconsistent, with some good plays & some bad plays. They also said they expect him to end up at Gaurd and that he could be great there if he develops the physical mindset.
I read the same but everyone seems to be singing a different tune today and confirmed he should be an OT.
Apparently he pretty much shut people down today. Alfy Hill I think was one of the people he embarrassed in a drill that favors the defensive player..
