4* prospect out of Norfolk, VA received an offer from LSU yesterday after McCarthy attended his practice.

DJ said he is exactly what we are looking for in a LB.

Offers from LSU, VT, WV, Louisville, UNC, NC State, Tenn, Penn St., and Syracuse.

People, don't mistake this guy with Chase Williams who is another LB recruit from VA. He is an ILB who is the son of the DC of the Saints.

LSU is in the top 5 now along with UNC, Miami, PSU, and Tenn. Not sure if the offer is commitable but we don't have to worry about that now though because it is unlikely he will commit anywhere until after his official visits. I don't see us taking another outside LB, I think it is MLB or bust but Chavis does love the speedy LBs.

His updated 40 time is 4.38 and he wants to stay at LB.

Don't believe he has made it to campus yet but we will in the Fall.

Everyone seemed anxious to get Shaun Lewis who you have listed as an OLB. You don't think we would take him either? I know I saw a statement saying we were going to try Welter at ILB too. I'm not sure if you are considering that.

I don't think Lewis is going to commit to us but the coaches might accept him if he does want to commit. I also considered Welter at MLB.

Right now I see it as Taylor or bust and I do not see Luc as a viable option. Both would be MLBs in college IMO.

Top 5 changed and now it is 6 with LSU, WV, Tenn, Miami, Penn St, and UNC.
