I know DeShields, of course is, but is the Bedrosian kid the son of the MLB pitcher Steve Bedrosian with the 1990s Braves?

the last name and geography make sense.

You would know more than me.

I was hoping we had a few baseball recruiting nuts around here to sort this list out.

Watched Joshua Burris pitch in the LA All Star game Fri. night. Very impressive, throwing low to mid 90's with a sick slider. He won the team MVP also.

Deshields and Cecchini seem like longshots to sign at this point. I do think we'll end up getting Lee though.

How much solid pitching do we have in this class, and how much of it do we think will sign? This season has made it VERY apparent that we don't have enough pitching.

Definitely need to improve pitching, but it's not just recruiting it's also development of the ones we have. Last year showed Marineri the potential at LSU. This year showed him you have to earn it each season. No way UCLA and UCI should have better pitching than LSU. I think you will see improvement in the pitching staff next year.

Great point about developing pitching. We had great pitchers last year that had been in the program a while and developed, so I'm hoping this isn't a long term issue. Did anything change in our coaching situation over the last offseason?
