See,, told you I couldn't keep up.... sorry.. I guess I was reading old posts on this thread & missed that part... Thanks for telling me... like I shoulda looked at the commitment list before opening my mouth...
That is what I think. Package deals rarely workout and I think he sees LSU as his best opportunity up to this point with or without Hurd. Lewis already visiting LSU 3-4 times already probably points to him feeling the most comfortable here as well. It would make it much easier for him if Hurd was offered, however.
Yeah, I just worry that he and Hurd are a package. Hurd will probably end up at A&M if we don't offer, and from my vantage point that is probably Lewis' other top choice as well.
It could be the situation but I am leaning to it not being the case. Shaun also has other friends like Mike Davis and Trovon Reed. Throw in another possible commit from Evan Washington who is close to Lewis as well. Shaun probably has more friends at LSU overall because of his many visits and ties to the prospects I mentioned above. He and Corey Nelson are also keep in touch but are not very close friends. If Nelson ends up at A&M would Lewis want to compete with him as well?
Looks like Shaun Lewis or bust for LSU at the LB position. Notwithstanding a surprise from Luc. Would you say the same bhelm?
Lewis is still a take but not sure what he is thinking after Hurd did not get an offer. Hurd does feel he still has a chance to get an offer from LSU so I assume we are not out of it. Not sure if Travis Williams is a take or not and I assume the staff will just wait until close to NSD if Lewis does not jump on board and decide if they have room for another LB.
Seems to be following the teams that Hurd has offers from, a true package deal. Oklahoma St and Texas A&M are in the lead followed by LSU and Miami.
