Really? I was hoping to see more of him at MLB in the video because all we got to see were a handful of plays at the position. When they did show him it was all deep cover on passes or blitzes. Hard to really judge how great he is based on that film. He has the speed and looks to have the size to be a great LB one day but I have a bunch in front of him in the 2010 class.
Unfortunately this guy is a Cane if things end today, Florida probably in second. Not many teams are really in it for him, but I doubt he goes OOS.
I agree. His films show a fast, brutal hitter. But I didn't see a whole lot of LB skills shown. Don't get me wrong - I think he's a take for just about any team as long as his grades/off-field stuff is in order.
Doesn't matter, did you see his fundamentals? He looks polished in so many areas, especially his tackling technique.
Not saying he is a bad prospect but it does matter. A few important aspects of his game that can't be determined with the video include if he reads or reacts and how well he shrugs off OLman in the hole. Also you can't get a good feel on his pursuit except for the one play where he tackled the QB from behind. If this is his only tape handed out then we know why he is still unranked. 6 or 7 plays with him blitzing or in coverage doesn't answer those questions.
That showed us more and there is no denying he is a great tackler and speed rusher. He definitely reacts and his forte is rushing off the edge. I would say he ends up as an OLB who rushes of the edge and drops back into coverage.
