Not sure either but the only reason would be because of his height. The kid never gives up and can lockdown with the best of them. He was the top CB at the last camp we had even with his injury. Most kids would not come back to work for an offer again but he told Miles he was going to do everything possible and prove he deserves an offer with a smile on his face. No quit in this kid and that sounds like someone Miles can't pass up on IMO. I am pulling for him.
With Stephenson to Baylor.. Carter, Fulton, Hurd.. who else is on our board at CB outside of those? Hurd better be smiling now that Stephenson is out.. odds keep looking better for him.
Travis Bell and Khalid Marshall out of FL but I don't see much happening on our end with them. We are a long shot for Fulton. Don't see Carter accepting a commit as a CB at this time but that could change after camp. We just offered Joshua Shaw out of Cali. Then my sleeper out of LA is Tyrann Mathieu who is at camp. Others in-state guys at camp are Andre Hal and Marcus Godfrey. So Basically I see it coming down to Hurd and Mathieu this week and throw in Carter if he has a change of heart.
I really hope Hurd gets an offer. I love his aggressiveness!!! If Hurd commits, then Lewis should also follow! :helmet:
I'd love to see Hurd apart of this team. He seems like a great kid. We have so many DBs that are over 6' on our team, why not take a chance on this little guy? Its not like hes a bad athlete at all, the only real question mark is his height. I think he was next on our board to get a offer...and I think he gets it now that Stephenson is gone. If it secures Lewis, all the more reason to get him. Unless the staff is real confident in Taylor. I hate to say this but I wouldn't mind seeing someone decommit so we cand find a spot for both Hurd/Carter. I have no idea why Carter is flying so under the radar...and I like Hurd too. Must be tough having to decide as LSU...

Fobbs will likely be one but I am not sure when it would go public since he is currently committed to A&M. He would be an ATH/CB. Another could be Curtis Carter as an ATH/WR. Would be really nice if Trovon Reed decided to end it but that is wishful thinking at this point. Sleeper: MLB Michael Taylor
DT LaCraig Brown out of Richwood HS is going to be at the camp tomorrow. Hoping to land a LSU offer and he says he currently holds offers from Arkansas and Bama. Another DT to keep an eye on, we need 1 in this class.
