Yeah that's what Im talking about how we are starting to start strong also by doing this it allows the commited to help recruit and make their class better...its kinda like its a privilege to get an offer and like a train better get on before your spot is gone.

Looks like it's the defenders that recieve stiff necks without the stiff arm.

Also hear that Saban called his coach last week showing strong interest and he expected an offer from them.

I think we will target another FB in this class. Hagans is the only other one offered now. One will be considered a RB/FB and I think Worle could fill that role.

After watching his film he looks too slow to me to play RB. I know he is getting the ball close to the line and not building up a head of steam as he would if he was at tailback, but I still just see him as a pure FB.

At 1st I did too but I just read a full breakdown from a Scout analyst who has been following his progress for 2 years and he said if he needed some touches at RB he could do so. A few others have agreed.

No doubt he is way closer to a full FB than a RB/FB combo IMO.

Was that Worle catching those passes at the end? If so, playing TE may very well be in his future.

Re: 2010 FB Brandon Worle Commits

I see he supposedly ran a 4.62 on Rivals. If that is true he has enough straight line speed to do it based on what Beanie Wells and Moreno ran at the NFL combine. I didn't see it in the video though even after he broke away into the secondary. He looked to have about the same speed as the men chasing him or less. The other thing is that if he was a great RB in high school it seems like he would have been used at that position. Perhaps he played RB, but the video didn't show him lining up in that position very often. He is a bull, no doubt about it, and Miles wants a big back so I hope I am wrong. Maybe we will get more footage that shows he is more versatile at a later date.

This kid likes to crush bones.

He definitely has the speed to take some snaps at RB, he just doesn't have any elusiveness. He's a true north south runner. And that's fine. He'll fit in perfectly as a "fast" FB type, in the same mold as Allen. I am glad to see the trend to going to speedier FBs who we can dive for more than just 3 yards.

Did I mention this kid likes to crush bones?

Re: 2010 FB Brandon Worle COMMITS

Anyone else notice the RG in the video number 67- -he is a force on the Oline--reminds me of a Faneca type. He pulls well, he blows away defenders at the line, and he is down field helping out.

If you did not notice him....take another look.

It's too bad FB isn't important in Crowton's scheme cause this guy looks like a(nother) good unimportant commit.
