i think the situation is more that his parents dont want him to go so far away, but it is his life and they need to let him make his own decisions...it is his future not their's...
I think I'm just old and remember the column he used to write in the seventies tiltled "I am somebody." Good message in it back then...His recurrent theme was self worth and dignity. I wish Marsh would decide for LSU... he'd have more self worth and dignity by making his own decision and not cow towing to mom. What if she doesn't like the girl he wants to marry? (Nobody tell him that I dissed his mom...dude could break my arm off and beat me with the bloody end.:hihi
Read this from an LSU fan posting on the UCLA Scout board: 01/20/2010 5:45 AM I think you guys get him only because of distance being a growing factor amongst family, such as mom and Dad. The Kid wants to play for LSU...he made that very clear during AA week. It's a shame..because LSU badly needs DL in this class. Our Mod spoke to him Monday night and came away that this decision is really hard on Cassius...2 weeks ago, he was at peace and ready for LSU. What happened? Momma is what happened! Fast forward in 4 years, what is momma going to do when he signs with the Buffalo Bills? Letting go isn't easy The kids seems like a real leader as well..great pick up for whoever gets him
I give it a 90% chance he decommits, IMO. Parents always win out, just the way it is. Its why you can't write LSU off for LS. If Mama wants him close, Mama gets what she wants. You can't blame the kids for this. It just bothers me when specifically, a coach gets too involved in a kid's decision of where to play college. Like it appeared with Hunter. I understand parents doing it to protect their child...but not a coach.
