6'4 280 4.9 4* and #3 Rated DT out of CA just decommitted from Cal. He was recently offered by LSU. He said he wants to take more visits and he is really thinking about the SEC. LSU and OU are the new programs that have his interest but he is also still considering Tenn, USC, and Cal. Says Cal is still #1 but doesn't make much sense to decommit if all he wants to do is take visits. We just offered another 5* RB out of Westlake Village as well, Malcolm Jones. To go along with Nick Montana.
Re: 2010 DT Cassius Marsh :geaux: Any of these guys would be tremendous grabs for CLM and the Tigers. Don't know if we'll get any of them and figure the odds are pretty long, but what I think is truly amazing is the now national reach of LSU now when it comes to recruiting. The difference between now and 10 years ago is sick. Back then if we got a kid out of Fla. it was a coup and getting someone out of Ga. was unheard of. Now we get recruits from both states fairly regularly. Kids from all over the nation now seriously consider LSU and just this year we've got a kid from Va. committed. Ten years, two NC's and two great coaches can really make a difference. Saban did start it but CLM has kept it rolling.:thumb: :LSU231:
Re: 2010 DT Cassius Marsh One day I hope to see the following sentence: "Outside pressure from Barkevious Mingo allowed Cassius to stand his ground, sacking Muchie before he was able to scramble for any yards."
Re: 2010 DT Cassius Marsh I don't expect to land any of these guys but we landed and born and raised Cali guy in the last class, Hicks. So some of our work has paid off and continuing our efforts from staff members with West Coast ties will only help in the long-run.
Re: 2010 DT Cassius Marsh That IS the big picture and I could not agree more. We may not get some of these guys far away, but we enter the conversation with many of the big name national recruits now.
Re: 2010 DT Cassius Marsh It will be interesting to see if Hicks can stand the heat and humidity in Tiger Stadium. That will be interesting to watch.
Re: 2010 DT Cassius Marsh Rivals will soon when they get an update on him. Scout and Rivals have many differences in guys with offers.
Re: 2010 DT Cassius Marsh LSU #2 in his top 3 list. Cal who he decommitted from early this year is still #1. Not bad for never stepping foot on campus yet but he has an official scheduled. Hope his family in BR are luring him down here. We should know where he lands in about a month.
Re: 2010 DT Cassius Marsh Another one of them Cali boys showing love to LSU but having very little chance of moving eastward.
