Does the fact that he was recruited by coach Stud help the idea that he will end up on the OL, or does that usually happen (OL coach recruiting DL and visa versa)?
LSU's Les Miles stops by to check on West Monroe commitment | thenewsstar.com | The News Star Glad to see they were headed to see Maclin as well.
That was a great read, especially all the stuff about how Coach Shows paid for the meal, gave his insight on the Penn State game, and gave his insight on some of the other players on his team he thinks LSU should take a look at. Coach Shows is 69, so he's not going to be around much longer (although on Dec. 14, he was asked about it being that he just won another 5A State Championship... and he said "I’m not going anywhere."). Coach Shows just got his 300th victory this year, his career record is 307-65 (82%), averaging 10.2 wins per season over the course of 30 seasons. Under his tenure, West Monroe has won more 5A State Championships that anybody...1993 (13-1), 1996 (13-2), 1997 (14-0), 1998 (15-0), 2000 (15-0), 2005 (13-1), 2009 (15-0). And they were 5A runner-ups in 1999 (13-2), 2001 (14-1), 2002 (11-4), 2004 (14-1) and 2008 (14-1).
I'm ashamed that my High School coach took him to Applebee's with my favorite Monroe restaurant just right around the corner. That's probably the first meal Shows has bought in a while, too... :hihi:
