Thank you West Monroe High School! You've been very very good to LSU over the years! Very happy to see this big commitment!

We wanted Jarrett Fobbs, just not on offense.

I think Curtis Carter will get a look as well..somewhere. CB, WR..somewhere. Dude is fast.

I'd like to see him at Nebraska if he doesn't go to LSU.

Here's another TigerRag article on him from July 21:
I always knew deep down that LSU was where I wanted to go,” Allen admitted. “I honestly wanted to give other schools a chance, but after talking to some of my friends and freshmen who are already on the team I knew LSU was the place for me.
“I met some of the freshmen and we were talking about the workout program and they told me it was unbelievable and there was no comparison to any other program,” Allen added. “The workouts really sold me on LSU. They said it was hard work, but you get good results and that is why LSU is always so good.”
However, the workout program was not the only thing that closed the deal for the four-star prospect.
“Once I looked out over the stadium I knew I was home,” Allen stated. “I knew right then and there LSU was where I wanted to be.”
    ...
“One thing gets me mad though,” Allen concluded. “It sucks knowing that I still have to go through my senior year before I can get to LSU.”
Note: Allen racked up 60 tackles, 9 sacks, and 7 forced fumbles as a junior. He chose LSU over universities such as Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Nebraska among others.

this kid looks awesome... if he's that good and starts right away, Mingo, Loston, PP all on the field... I think our defense could push for a top 5 ranking.

Lots of talk about OL for Allen, it seems. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Someone told me that they're looking at putting him at tackle...

    DEFENSIVE tackle.

He's a big-framed guy. He could handle 325 easy. Can you imagine a 6'6", 325 DT in the middle of our defense?

Al Woods is 6'4", 311 lbs...

I expect Allen to end up on the OL.
