The Dead period comment may have been started by me. I was under the impression we were in a dead period till the weekend. Bhelm absolutely knows more than I do about that.
I heard the USC beat writer on the radio yesterday saying that the Trojans will be penalized, "it's inevitible" is what he said. However, he did point out that no one knows just when the axe will fall.
I will correct my statement: We are in a dead period but midterm enrollees and Juco prospects are not under the same rules for a dead period. Which is what Coach O was doing last night. Even in a dead period each coach gets one call a week to each prospect even if they are not a Juco or Early Enrollee. A dead period basically means you can't have face to face contact with a prospect on or off campus but that is not the case for Early Enrollees and Juco prospects.

Can they recruit for USC now even though they aren't offically coaches there yet? Didn't LSU have to get "clearance" from the NCAA b4 Frank Wilson could recruit for us? I will give up my season tickets if we ever hire Orgeron,we don't need his kind at our shcool. He and Kiffen are birds of a feather. Don't understand how Kiffen's dad can be part of that, I've lost respect for him. Maybe he'll bail and take the HC job he's apparently being considered for.
I dont think he will take that job, what is he 75 and starting over at USF? I just dont see that happening.
Good point about having to get cleared to recruit. Probably just another a secondary violation that they are more than willing to accept.
Says he is thinking it over but probably looking into what he has to do to get enrolled at LSU and/or waiting to see if a hire is made at Tenn.
