5* DE out of FL has been persuaded to take his final official visit to LSU according to TSD. Yano worked his magic and has ties with him from his previous stints.

He will be in all weekend and it seems like he has LSU on his mind from the beginning. We are in his top 5 and can really sell him on playing time.

Auburn, Tenn, Illinois, and FSU are the other contenders.

At the AU camps he really made an impression. A guy who commands attention.

225 lb., you sure he's not a LB? :yelwink2: Just kidding... I know the strength coach dude will put 30 lb. on him in 2 years, and he'll play at 255-260. I still miss Marcus Spears at 290.

Honestly, if he's a 5*, COME ON DOWN!!!

Auburn, Tenn, Illinois, FSU, LSU.. who is our biggest competition? We're way thin at DE, the guy could come in and play as a freshmen or sophomore.

small now, but when he hits the weights in college, he'll play around 250-260. If he were to come here i think it would add a serious player. Levingston Chauncey, Allen Montgomery, Brockers, (has the size of past LSU DE like Jackson Spears and Jean Francois at 6-6 285) Clement, Logan, and maybe Lemonier would be our de's

I am kind of scrambling to get a feel for how his recruitment has played out so far but from what I have gathered I think Illinois could be the team to beat. He has a teammate who will likely be going there. FSU could be the other given distance. Coaching changes could be a factor at both.

Anyone know how hot Zook's seat is right now?

I think they've given Zook one more year.

I would love to see LSU land him, but I think he goes to Tennessee.

Gave the LSU visit a 10.

Still have our work cut out for us given we just got back into it with him. Just my opinion.

I would love to nab either him or Ego in this class.

bhelm, do you know if we're interested in his team mate Calvin Smith? Rivals lists us as no-offer.. but I was talking to a guy on the internet who knows him or something, said if both got offered they would probably jump on it.

    He's a 4* DT fwiw.
