    Wow,, so it looks like LSU found what it was looking for a little closer to home. kinda strange coming out of nowhere like that & all of a sudden being a 4*. Good Job Tigers, Welcome Mr. Mathieu!!!!

    It's obvious Rivals hates LSU. He was probably going to be a 5* before he committed to LSU.:rolleye33:

    With a lockdown senior season.. it actually wouldn't shock me if he winds up there. All bets are off with this guy. :popcorn:

    That being said.. I wouldn't count on it. 5.9-6.0

    Yeah. It happens all the time honestly. The rankings are still fleshing out. Maclin dropping over 100 spots out of the Rivals250 is way more rare.

    Janzen Jackson and Claiborne are two guys who had similar bumps from this last year. It's got more to do with who was at those camps, I think. You gotta impress the right people.

    It happens often actually. All NR means is that they do not have film on him or he hasn't been evaluated yet. After that is accomplished you see prospects jump to 3 and 4 stars.

    Exactly it's not like he actually got evaluated at 0 stars. He just wasn't evaluated.

    Usually most players start out at 3 stars if they are any good. Others get 4 stars right away.

    This kid is damn good.

    Seems I read on here somewhere after Allen & Porter commited to LSU that the Louisiana part of the recruiting was over, Not so with Mathieu commiting & now Blue being discussed.:huh:

    I don't know where you read that. We have Reed out there too and Byran Jones actually lives in LA but plays in Arky as well.

    I did say OL recruiting is most likely over after the Porter commit.
