I will now listen to what the basketball guys have to say but it looks like a great pickup in a position of need.

HE was a silent commit since the Ole Miss home game.

3* out of Jackson, MS. Offers from Arky, Auburn, Ole Miss, and Mizzou.

I know nothing about this kid, so I can not say anything positive or negative, but it just seems like 95% of the kids LSU has signed in the past 2-3 years have been guys from 6'5 - 6'7 and they are SF-PF's.

This team needs beef in the worst way if they want any chance to do anything next season.

Yep, it's been like that for years. The good side of that is the length you get at every position, not to mention the versatility. We've benefited from having so many wings and small forwards on the court this year, but we definitely need some help in the post.

That's what makes the Roy Hibbert/Hasheen Thabeet types so highly coveted.

Man, I still don't understand the concept of a silent commit. Do athletes do it because they want to continue the recruiting process and take free trips? do they do it because it's not really a commitment in the first place? Either way, it seems like someone is being taken advantage of.

What's the big advantage of frustrating the Truth?

He said the reason was because he didn't want to distract himself and his team during the playoffs. I am sure he was getting pressure to go to Ole Miss or Miss St. as well since they are the home teams. So I could see why it could be a big distraction. Coaches from others teams would find out and possibly make a strong push for him.

    It is not always negative.

good! I really didn't know. I was thinking of Janzen Jackson at the time and was really trying to look for the positive in this. I figured there had to be some good reasons.

    i wouldnt think so.

cal's got a nice team at uk just with recruits.

    wall --1
henry--2 (already signed with UM so would have to transfer--with his brother)
    cousins--4
    orton--5

you do have to wonder how patterson affects cousins. id guess if patterson stays (seems unlikely) then cousins may be up for grabs.

maybe hood and NATYAZHKO are odd men out. both would really fit at LSU but there is no reason to think LSU is on their radar.

Look folks I believe Patterson's going to stay. And, I think Cousins is likely not going to UK. Right now, the front line is crowded, and I think Grant will do everything possible to sell 'Bama as the DCous' show.
