Perhaps he plays fast in pads, but he has 4.7 speed. He has run about 4.71 at two different combines (an Army one and a Nike combine). At one of them, I believe the Army one, he ran the exact same time as Tony Hurd--4.71. Seastrunk and Reed both ran around 4.40 at this one. Ware's time was one of the slower times from the skilled positions athletes, there were more than 100 people posting faster times than him. Sorry, he just isn't fast. He's shifty though.
Hmm.... he's 5'11 and 220 lbs. Could he be our bruising back in a couple of years? :crystal::geaux::crystal::geaux::crystal:
Okay, no one has asked the obvious yet: is he related to Andre? I mean, come on, you know you look at this thread's title and wonder the same thing Looks like another great pick up from our staff who continues to build an impressive class..... again. Like others, still wondering about the Storm situation. Eeerry reminder of CMichael, but different in that visiting/camping was the issue with him, whereas Storm met with the staff to commit and apparently felt he had an offer - weird. This pick up makes me think Storm's chances of ending up here are slimmer and slimmer. Why take multiple other commits since the SJ visit, including essentially a RB now, but have Storm stay "silent". Doesn't meet the logic test to me.
whew. that sucks. feel bad for SJ, if this is true. gotta trust the coaches assessments of the entire situation though. somehow, this is best for LSU. hopefully, they handled this with class, and by doing this now it allows SJ to still proceed with other quality offers. CLM has a history of doing things smooth and with class - i hope this is not an exception, but some situations are more challenging.
