What he said... I don't think Blue is coming here but it is still possible. Lache and Ware in this class IMO.
C'mon man, I know you're not serious. I know we don't have a 5 star but some of these guys committed to us can definitely hang with the elite. I think guys like Maclin are underrated on Rivals because his ceiling is HUGE like Mingo. Just think of it as 5 star potential. Mingo was incredibly raw but still highly regarded, Maclin is the exact same thing. Vinson and Reid are the real deal at DB and Simon is underrated on the recruiting sites, IMO. Hunter is a incredible physical beast that I expect to move up in the rankings. We're doing just fine in recruiting. We're going to end this top 10 and top 5 wouldn't surprise me the least if we land Seastrunk/Reed.
Watch this.. 2010 Spencer Ware "The Athlete" - All Runs 2008 BN Spencer Ware - Nike - Bill Kurelic Interview He's better than Storm. I didn't want to believe it.. i've been pumping Storm up for a while. But Ware is better.
Huge pickup! Here's some video of Spencer Ware's athleticism & running the 40. Bhelm, I think this is the one you posted, but I coudn't get it to work. BN Spencer Ware - Nike - Workout 2009 Short ESPN article, check out his SPARQ score! Hicks, Ware in a class of their own - Insider - ESPN
Are you sure he is not being recruit at QB, if Zack Lee goes the baseball route you have no QBs in the class... this guy looks like he can throw to me... definitely a passing threat at QB not just a runner. So you have: Lee -QB Gibson and Ware - as potential QB options if Lee goes baseball. Storm - RB Lache - RB
He's only 5'11.. he's not a QB. Sam Gibson is a more likely canidate to get a look at QB if Lee were to go MLB.
The big question is his future in MLB. I'm sure the staff has a handle on it. Hard to say who else we'll take without a good idea of how likely it is he'll make it to campus.
It's funny because when I look at the film of those two. Gibson has the body of a QB but looks like he is ready to run at the blink of an eye and Ware has the body of a RB but looks like prefers to stay in the pocket. Just on the limited video I have seen. 5'11 seemed to work for Drew Brees... 6 feet with thick soles maybe. I am not saying he would be the ideal QB but a backup plan if they think Lee might go the baseball route. It would seem silly to waste a whole other slot if you are up in the air though. Just saying. His body is definitely more of a RB or even a hard hitting safety. Like I said, you pitch it to him on the outside he has a decent arm I would not be surprised if he threw from there. Looking at him run in those other videos you wouldn't think he would be able to pass but he looked decent to me. I agree that Gibson appears to have the better assets for a QB position than Ware, however you can take the RB out of the backfield and line him up at QB but you have a even harder time getting the RB mentality out of the QB if that is what they are use to doing.
at first i was really curious about why we were taking him, but after watching his videos, i think this guy could be our charles scott, he has excellent size and power, and we could raise his speed with speed training.
