Kid appears to be a GREAT athlete. No idea how severe he's hurt or what impact this will have, but I would assume he'll withdraw his commitment (after some discussions) if he's not going to be able to rehab and be back in football shape by fall 2010. Just a hunch. If he can be ready to go next fall, though, I agree that the staff takes a chance and honors it's offer. Especially for a kid from Ohio - we don't have much of a foothold there besides Miles' birth certificate.
Miles will honor his commitment. If it requires surgery, he should make a full recovery within 6 months. No one knows how serious the injury is though.
Oh, I figured his commitment will be honored.. by 'taking a chance' I was referring to picking up another 'big back' in this class. With Ridley being at game-speed already.. i'm not convinced this is an absolute must.
unless it's crippling and maybe career ending, I would not think so He would have redshirt most probably anyway
Posted 09-08-09 4. Ware still out: Cincinnati Princeton senior QB Spencer Ware missed his second consecutive game due to injury last Friday. Ware suffered a leg injury on Aug. 24 in practice and did not play against George Washington (Ind.) Friday night. He also missed the season opener against Huber Heights Wayne at Dayton’s Welcome Stadium. Ware is one of the state’s top quarterbacks and has verbally committed to play football at LSU. Princeton, which defeated George Washington on Friday night, was forced to play a sophomore junior varsity quarterback. It was not known late last week whether Ware would be ready for the Vikings next game Thursday night against Glen Este.
He is playing in the game and word is that he's putting on a show. Apparently he just demolished a ilnebacker.. and the LB had to be walked off the field.
