Gibson is a better passer than I thought he was. FYI, Kentucky recently offered him as a QB. He gives us a possible depth option there in case another catastrophe were to happen.
Sure hope he improves as the season goes along, his Prattville team lost 14-11 Saturday night to North Gwinnet of Georgia. He was sacked 8 times
Don't forget we're not recruiting him as a QB.. but as an ATH. His potential is awesome and he's very dangerous when flushed out of the pocket from what I saw.
Yeah everyone was saying he was amazing after the last game but they went up against stiff competition this week featuring 2011 QB Uzamoh who we have offered already and the Oline did not help him out much. But he is likely going to end up at Safety for LSU.
I saw a replay of the game today. Gibson was given NO HELP whatsoever. I dont think he looked very good but not really a game to judge anything on. He was buried all night.
Here are some free highlights from Scout from the game this year where Simon's team lost. Scout.com: ScoutTV: Sam Gibson SR Clips
Watched this kid play Fri night. Ran the ball very well on a sloppy wet field. I didn't think much of his passing though. He was a beast to bring down.
Prattville will be playing the USA Today #4 Prep team. New Jersey's Don Bosco Prep. Sam better be on his game tonight.
