JARRET FOBBS - HUNTINGTON HIGH, SHREVEPORT,LA

This kid is going to have a monster year ESPN has just upped his grade to a 77 don't be surprised to see him higher after the season begins he has offers from.

    ole miss
    mississippi st.
    missouri
    nebraska
    tennesse
    texas a&m
    tulane

We may miss out on this kid a friend who used to coach him in baseball spoke with him last week say's LSU is not on him very hard but everyone else is.

What i hate even more is his former teammate kendrick washington quit football because of a coaching change..i believe LSU was on washington for awhile.im here to tell u he was better than sentimore but he had no drive and no one to push him. 6"8 280llbs. absolute monster he was unblockable when he wanted to be he dominated west monroe...it's just a sad story......but back to fobbs LSU will probably jump in late like they did on claiborne if it is not to late

u guys know about kendrick washington if u follow high school basketball..great athlete...it's a shame in shreveport cuz schools like huntington, booker t washington and fair park have all the talent. but all the athletes dont play or the coaching is horrible unless they go to evangel or calvary...unbelieveable u guys should see the athletes walking through huntington alone.....

Coaches told him he needs to come to the summer camp to get evaluated. I think we want to see him as a CB.

He has recently said he might end it soon and that would be before the camp.

I agree with the staff, we can't just offer him in fear that he will commit elsewhere because we have questions about his ability at CB.

I think we will end up with Vinson and Tony Hurd at CB but we will likely target a few more to land a 3rd CB and Fobbs is in the running.

I do not see him getting an offer as a WR but he might have a good shot at CB once we evaluate him.

He could definitely make a decision before then.

well im afraid that he will be ending it soon and i think it is absolutely a shame ...because in the end some kid we really wanted is going to wait till signing day and go elsewhere and we will be stuck with a kid not as highly rated or not as durable and definately not as athletic..there is always room for an athlete like this and we need to keep more kids in state..

Fobbs got his offer from the LSU staff today. Early in the process he had LSU as his leader but lately has been focusing on teams that have actually offered. HE made some noise about an early commitment but I am not sure if that is still the case.

He will attend LSU's camp and I would not be surprised if he commits during the visit.

Only question is what position. Sounds like he wants to play WR but Miles may be able to convince him CB is where he needs to be if that is what the staff feels would be best.

Miles offered him as an ATH.

As a junior, Fobbs saw time at running back, receiver, cornerback and safety. He rushed for 614 yards and five touchdowns on 95 carries, and added five more scores and 359 yards on 21 receptions. Fobbs also returned four kicks for touchdowns and tacked on another 400-plus return yards to go with four interceptions and 31 tackles on defense.

Offers from Alabama, Baylor, Tennessee, Louisiana Tech, Tulane, Nebraska, Texas A&M, Missouri, Ole Miss and Mississippi State.
