yes because they have specialized in nba for some time and scooped up all the best talent i suppose. but even relative to other sports, espn's main nba guys are excellent. its the crappy crew they created like for football with magic and stuart scott and 3 others bumbling all over each other that takes away from it. stick with the real guys jackson/hubie/van gundy all top notch.
Old baseball player, I think. I want to say that his name popped up alot while shuffling through my "commons" back when I was a kid and collected baseball cards.
Now that you say it, that might ring a bell although I really don't know. For some reason, I'm thinking of the Montreal Expos for Hubie Brooks. I've always liked Hubie Brown. I was never a fan of Mark Jackson as a player but he fits pretty well with Van Gundy. I always liked Doug Collins when that was his gig. The recent SI article about him was really good. Talent to be a Hall of Fame player and/or coach but ended up getting in as a commentator.
Damn Heat just took it to them in the closing minutes. Big 3 had the final 33 points and went on a 18-2 run to win by 3. Lebron was on in the 4th and Wade was right there with him. Dallas and Heat is going to be a fun series to watch. Have to give the edge to Dallas because they are a strong road team but there is always that too familiar choke factor.
Don't have a strong rooting interest but Mavs/Heat will definitely be must see TV. Two teams playing extremely well with at least four future Hall of Famers combined. With the conference finals ending quickly, hoping it'll go at least 6 or 7. Boozer's hard shot to Bron's head on that flagrant angered the king, along with Wade - the jack of all trades. If the big 3 really scored the final 33 to win by 3, that sounds like another sign. Wonder if it's for the rapture fella or the Mayans.
I finally get to see the dirk choke factor. its going to be spectacular folks. remember this while everyone nationally has somehow forgot its part of his dna. when its who you are there is just no escaping it. USA Hood-1 Soft Germans-0
Dirk may miss a big shot or two during the finals but he'll also hit a lot of big ones. I think he'll play well and get his 25 & 10 like he's averaged for his playoff career. If he can somehow carry the Mavs to a championship over this Miami team, he catapults into serious top 10 discussion. If Wade plays as well as capable, I think the Heat are too tough to beat four times. If Wade is hobbled or continues to struggle at times, I think the Mavs can win the series. Especially if the Kidd/Barea duo ends up being a big advantage.
he can have 40 and 20, not the point. hes made what like 60 of 62 free throws or some ****. hes going to miss 3 in this series alone because hes going to be thinking about '06 or whatever. funny thing is when wade was sucking so bad last night I knew it was going to be bad news for the bulls in the 4th. sure enough wade just kills it and lebron followed suit. poor dirk, this one's going to leave a mark. he better keep that mouthpiece in.
