These guys are going to be very special. We're loaded with key players... we'll pick up many more in that time too... but with what he have developing now and waiting in the wings... the 2010 and 2011 Tigers are going to be very much talked about on ESPN, and will be top 5 national talent fighting for a few more national championships.

As well as Miles has recruited since he's been here...and as loaded we've been with upperclass talent lately, LSU is a very young team and the number of freshmen, red shirt freshmen, and sophomores getting serious playing time is just amazing to me.

And we're doing it in a classy manner...not like Saban and Nutt by oversigning and seeing what shakes out later or hoping some of the signees qualify. Or like Tennessee, hoping the ankle bracelet monitors their recruits on parole have to wear won't interfere too much with their play on the field!!!. (where's the plunger smilie?)

Just wait till our young guys are juniors and seniors. :geauxtige.

In all honesty I was hoping that this was going to be the year that LSU showed last year was a fluke and that we were here now... and while we're still winning which I won't complain about... I don't think we're going to nasty until next season... and with tebow, snead gone... JJ will be the QB talked about int he SEC. I'm looking forward to the UGA game to see where we are for real conference play this year.

Good post. Either way and no matter our record, by the end of the year LSU will be very strong...

Just like this year, the biggest unknown will be Oline. Replacing two very high time seniors in Black and Hitt. LB will be a question as well although I have a good feeling about Baker and Minter so the real question is depth with Mingo and others.

But like you I think we will be a very exciting offense for the foreseable future.

Yea, I agree. With all things considered, I really like seeing those young guys make plays...

you have to wonder about Safeties as well, but I suspect we will be ok there. I agree with you about the depth at linebacker.

I agree LSU will be great the next few years and if CLM keeps up the recruiting like he has it should continue there after. It should be a slug fest between LSU and Bama for the west kinda like the past. JJ will be awesome next year and our defense will improve greatly with Chavis at the wheel. The thing that worries me is our OL.:tigereye:

I remember thinking that the O-Line wasn't that good in the beginning of 2007 but they gelled as the season progressed. I expect the same this year. In 2005 it took two games before the defense all got on the same page with a new scheme. Last year, it took Patrick Peterson five games to lock down the starting position as a true frosh.

My point is that THIS YEAR will be when it all begins anew, not next. We'll beat UGA and be solid by UF. I expect that to be a four-quarter game, but I'm also expecting us to lose. However...by the time we get to the back end of the season with Bama, Ole Piss, and R-Kansas, I fully expect this team to be viscious. And when we meet UF again in the SECCG, it will be a different story...
