Video infuriates me to no end. No matter how many times I see the Peterson INT, it still makes zero sense. I have no idea how a replay booth could get that wrong. There's no excuse, and frankly the outrage from the national media just wasn't strong enough.

There are some other good examples on here. The personal foul on the Arkansas player is a joke. Cody taking his helmet off not getting called is also a joke.

Just one more reason to despise Florida and Alabama I guess.

This.. I considered the LSU/Ga one that they showed first a wash since they hit Scott with the same penalty in that game.

Yep. And what Dawg fans oh-so-often gloss over is that after getting our penalty assessed, we got our asses down there on special teams and stopped the Georgia return at the 35. Then we got our asses out there on defense and made a stop. The refs didn't allow Trindon Holliday to return it across midfield, their crap coverage unit did. The refs didn't miss 3 arm tackles on Charles Scott's game winner, their crap defense did.

They make it seem as if that penalty alone guaranteed LSU points on the next possession. Had they kept their composure from there, gone out and played sound defense and special teams, they might've won.

Blaming the refs is easier than tackling the ball carrier it'd seem.

    Two thoughts:

Until the NCAA puts a stop to the policy that each school gets to choose the replay official instead of it being a current official assigned by the conference as just another member of the crew, a different one every week, expect more of that to happen. I don't know if there are any stats on this, but in most of the games I've seen, home team almost always gets benefit of the doubt on close or bang-bang plays, and that includes LSU.

The SEC should require each member school to provide full 1080p-capable, 36"-40" minimum HD equipment for the replay booth. It is beyond pathetic and ridiculous that the average Joe sitting at home has a better view of a play than the freakin replay official at the actual game. Hell, you can't tell me that moneybags SEC brass can't run down to the local Birmingham Best Buy and purchase $60K worth of equipment and FedEx it to each school the next day.

Edit: To back up my first point: http://www.fox8live.com/content/sports/lsu/story/LSU-fans-cry-foul-over-questionable-referee/CZmRLfrAM0SuS_fWSfTllg.cspx

You could probably make highlight videos like this every year. Seems like an easy enough fix.

And I'm sure it's just a coincidence that 4 of those 7 plays listed involved either Bama or Florida in big games. Sure, nothing to see here. :dis:

Edit: It also occurs to me that Mike Slive is trying to run his officials like David Stern does in the NBA. See no evil, speak no evil (or be fined out the wazoo), not even a hint of transparency over evaluation of officials. And basketball fans know NBA officiating has a stellar reputation.

I had almost, I say again, almost forgotten about that crap, and then you had to go and show it again.

And the same crap will happen this year, and next. Too maddening for words. We just have to beat the crap out of teams to the point where 7 or 14 bogus points don't mean anything. That Interception makes my blood boil.

The one with the Arkansas player vs Florida - that was pass interference. He was making contact with the receiver well past the LOS and the ball was in the air. He didn't turn around and look for the ball until the last second.
