Details, Details, Details.. I am so impatience, I can't seem to wait... I'm going to see if I can find a chill pill.... thanks.. :geaux:
I recall we didn't get our first commit until June last year. I was worried, Texas had about 15 commits then, like they have about 15 this year. Brown pulls them in early. The class came together nicely as the season went along. I prefer this year, quality commits early. Some of those top kids come in late, like Patrick Johnson, and before him, Chad Jones committed late. It's a little nerve racking, but it does get done.
In a usual year I don't mind us starting late so long as the class comes together nicely. This year, I'm really enjoying having a high profile commit like RS already committed to help us recruit.
Who has he helped us get or who do you think he will help us get? Just a question, not slanted ether way..
It appears he'll help us get at least two 5 stars - Loston & McFarland. He helped us get Pratt as well, although he would've been a Tiger either way.
I don't think grades are a bigger concern this year than usual with the Louisiana recruits. IMO, it has more to do with the out of state guys that LSU has a good shot at this year - guys that may be not only more talented, but better students as well. Don't worry about Mingo, Randle or Davenport. These guys have committable offers (their spots will be held) and they will be Tigers. Bell has a committable offer as well, but I'm not so sure that his spot would be held. I've said several times that LSU's classes will always be at least 50% Louisiana guys, but this year could be an exception because I don't see more than 3 Louisiana guys in our class after these guys.
ooooooh... Louisiana high school coaches may not like that..... but darn Louisiana education system is screwing its on kids so no one to blame but the education system & the Students themselves...
