All I saw was what DandyDon reported. I doubt he's a take for LSU if he really is a WR with Randle, Bell, and Marlon Brown still out there. http://hslouisiana.scout.com/a.z?s=392&p=8&c=1&nid=2767519 http://louisianastate.scout.com/2/732200.html
OLine isn't a big need for this class. Faulk's still being evaluated, but IMO he's not currently at the top of our boards. This could change after LSU's camps this summer.
I think Jones is going to be a Dawg, and our staff likes the other prospects we have at OLB just as much. We'll continue to recruit him but I don't think we'll ever turn up the heat.
Big difference is that there can be contact during a "quiet period". My question is when they refer to how exactly are these "Contacts" arranged? http://www.ncaa.org/eligibility/faqs/faqs_recruiting.html
Minter made a visit to one of Clemson's spring practices and expects an offer from them soon. http://www.thestate.com/sports/story/348581.html
LSU sure seems to be looking at several recruits to see if they can play different positions than they are playing in HS. Connor-RB/want him only as a linebacker . RJohnson-WR/looking at him as a DB. Calhoun is listed as a RB - LSU accepted him as a DB/ATH. Even Shepard is questioned as a true QB, I'm sure there are others, My question is this.. If we need a DB/LB/QB/WR why not go for the best in the area instead of experminting or waiting to see if these guys are gonna be acceptable at the new position?
Ask Saban. He did it a lot, and it worked. Sometimes high school athletes aren't at their natural positions to start.
