    summation:

The thought did cross his mind to commit while at Junior Day. He's very happy for his teammate Josh Downs to get a chance to play for the Tigers, and he expects Josh to start recruiting him soon.

If this kid is really that he better be running track because that is world class speed, if you see any track results for him let us know. I've a feeling the watches were started slow and stopped fast.

not really...it just means he's athletic and tests well in sparq events. I used to think sparq was useful when I first learned about it, but have since come to realize it is utterly USELESS

True. The person that holds the all time record was not really recruited until the last two weeks of the recruiting season.

But is a good indication of someone's raw talents.

    5'7", 165 lbs, and runs a 4.7? Nope. That's a misprint. I bet it's more like 4.37...or better.:thumb:

From the different threads on here there seems to be some concern on LSU's depth at linebacker... Who are we recruiting this year that we have a good change to get? How many are we recruiting? How many will we take? How bad is our depth at linebacker?

We have no depth at LB. We have a true freshman, a walk-on, and a converted Safety as our back-ups this Spring. We got 3 LBs in our past recruiting class, one of which is already on campus, and another of which was pretty highly rated.

LB is a big, big need in this class. We need at least 3. Barkevious Mingo will be one of them. Tahj Jones will be one if he gets his grades in order. Montrell Conner may be one. Some OOS names are guys like Willie Ferrell and Kevin Minter, both of whom I'm very high on.

I looked at DD's in state rankings & It don't seem like Louisiana has much to offer this year in the way of linebackers? Or am I wrong?

Conner is a stud at RB but we will be looking to recruit him as a LB. He has the physical stature to be an excellent LB, hopefully he can adapt to play the position.

I agree with Parso's assessment of what LBs we are looking at. I think we will take 4 this year, the 3 LA boys and 1 out of state, whomever commits first (Minter hopefully).
