So, explain to me that the deal is with no one picking the defending national champion?? Being we finished out of the top ten (per Rivals) last year & everyone kept saying we would reap the benifits of the Championship this year, why is no one picking LSU to at least be in the top five? Are we losing ground in recruiting? If not, why is no one expecting us to excell? I guess finishing in the top ten every year is very acceptable. It just don't seem that way to me with teams in our conference expected to beat us in recruiting. I'm a glass half empty kind of guy - sorry, just my nature & I am wondering about all those other schools with 4-5 committments already & LSU not even offered to several of the instate stars. Maybe we will get 5-6 committments for Junior day. Just venting - I'll get over it with a couple of 5 stars!! Somebody Help me !!!!

Championships dont = recruiting success. We are going to have a small class and will have to pass on some guys. No need to worry.

Because we won't sign a full class, and the more players in a class the higher the ranking on Rivals.

Hell no we aren't losing ground. We are excelling, as we have done continuously the past 8 years or so.

Top ten every year is perfectly fine so long as our coaches feel like we're getting the players we want.

According to Rivals. I bet our coaches don't feel that way.

    Surprise surprise!

We may not have a top 5 class numbers wise but talent wise we will be top three. If we get the in state guys we want and pick up the out of state guys we are looking at, this class will be the most talented class we have signed.

The other colleges in state should have big years too because of the number of good players that are in the state and we can only take so many. There will be some big time players we will miss out on that we just won't be able to sign because of the lack of room. The RB from Alexandria come to mind.

Where is that coming from? Rivals only ranks the top 20 in a class, Scout the top 25.

its all a wash...Teams like Bama and Fl St and UM all siging 30 players are more...They would be ranked outside the top 10 with a normal 23 to 25 players. They only are ranked higher because of there mass of players signed.

terry would like to have a word with you.

classes like miami and alabama needed to sign a ton of quality guys to replace crappy players and did it. how does that make their class worse?

I thought all they counted was the top 25 in each class.

i was being sarcastic kinda...But since Saban is "Almighty" he probably would have won the Recruiting tile with 15 players.
