Sorry I'm late, had a LOOONG day yesterday Final Standings: 1. LSU 20-10 1. Ole Miss 20-10 3. Florida 19-11 4. Bama 18-11
Question: it says in this article that LSU and Ole Miss "share" the SEC title. Rebels bury Hogs, share SEC title with LSU - News Updates - SunHerald.com I thought that LSU won the SEC outright b/c even though we had the same record, we beat Ole Miss 2 out of 3 games. Am I wrong on that assumption?
As has been pointed out elsewhere, the "tiebreaker" only comes into play in SEC tournament seeding, so LSU does get the #1 seed in the tourney. Regular season title is determined solely by winning percentage. But I agree, it seems like common sense that in the event of a 2-way tie, the head-to-head series winner should get the outright title. In the case of a 3-way tie or worse I can see how things get complicated real fast.
I guess since we tied Ole Miss for the SEC championship, we have to look forward to the obligatory "Sister kiss" !!! Yea you rite !!!!
