He must have had at least another half dozen that got called back on holding or block in the back penalties.
Maybe so. The result is the same though. Nothing. Just like JJ had 220 yds passing and 2 TDs against GT last Peach Bowl...with the bomb to Lafell that got called back. The thing about Skyler is that he had about 11 TDs receiving, and Trindon doesn't. Skyler also had the famous TD catch against UGA at TS the first time we played them in '03. He was a great contributer and player on that team.
Don't we have a special teams guru on the coaching staff who's being paid specifically to address and fix these issues? Hopefully we'll start seeing some return on this investment.
No, he was brought on last year because the 2007 NC special teams stats were abysmal, near the bottom of the nation in yardage allowed on punts/kickoffs, and the fear during 2007 was that this was gonna cost us a game down the line. Wanna know the best part? The position coach at the time whose responsibility was special teams was a certain co-DC in 2008 by the name of Bradley Dale Peveto.
Ah, yeah, ok. I misunderstood. Yeah, they were awful in 2007. Last season was much better, so hopefully we will see continued improvement in 2009.
Yes. That's why I created this thread...so he can view it and come up with a plan based on our expert analysis. Don't you know that's what these boards are for?:hihi:
