    Well, if I heard about it....Slick Nick probably knew about it even before me.

    I wouldn't be the least bit suprised if what Saban said were true.

    I think it really happened. Then word got out to the Ole Miss boosters and they didn't want all of the attention on them for forking him out some dough. They told Massie to squash it.

    Massie squashed it.....or attempted to.

    What I heard was VERY early, and had nothing to do with anything read in a blog. I heard it from a prominent Ole Miss booster after he had a few drinks......then his Ole Miss buddy vouched for him. They were bragging about it. They told me a specific dollar amount and a new rolex.

    To me....it's true. For the rest of you, take it fwiw.
