correct, he has the problem of decelerating through the putt on "shorter" ones that has not been the case this week best he has putted in quite some time I am sure
So far the scores that have come in have been even or over par. Only one golfer has had a good round. Jeff Overton at -3, who ended up at +2 for the tournament. So far, the low score posted. I think this bodes well that a score could be "had" and the course isn't going to be so damn hard that it causes a 59 year old man to blow away in a Scottish wind.
Chris Wood is at -2 heading into 18. If he pars, I believe he will end up the champion, as odd as that seems (leaders are only on the 11th and 12th holes at this point). I believe the rest of the field will finish at -1 or worse. Or we have a playoff at -2. Chris Wood sitting quite pretty.
Watson tied for the lead with only 7 holes to go. Oh the humanity! This will go down as the most astounding result of any major sporting event in the history of sport.
Watson may look nearly 60 in the face, but he has kept his build and his game looks like that of a 40 year old.
Watson with a bogey on 14. So close to saving par. Now one back. The co-leader Westwood in the bunker on 15. Goggin (sp?) falls off the lead with a bogey too at 14. Wow, will be a great finish.
It's all working out though. Watson right back in ti with the erros by the other two. The young kid in the clubhouse is actually sitting pretty right now. If only he'd closed out well on 18.
Cink in a -2. Westwood on 18 at -2. Hit the fairway bunker on tee shot. Ouch!!!!! If Watson can get up and down for birdie on 17, i think he's got it....
