were losing alot of stars after this year, hopefully we can have people stay with us instead of going pro
whats your prosepected depth chart replacing our guys leaving and can they do the job as well as our boys this year

    This year
DE-Tyson Jackson will be missed hopefully new talent will step up
    DT- RJF please stay
DT-Charles Alexander another great linemen thankfully we have depth
DE-Kriston Pittman thanks for staying will miss you

    Next year
    DE-Chancey Aghayere or Chase Clement
DT-RJF if he doesnt go pro or Drake Nevis
    DT-Al Woods
    DE-Rahim Alem

    This year
    OT-Ciron Black please dont go
    OG-Herman Johnson will cry over
    C-Brett Helms will be missed
    OG-Lyle Hitt
OT-Joesph Barksdale this guy is solid

    Next year

OT-Ciron if he stays if not i suspect JB goes to LT and we use true freshman Stavion Lowe or a backup at RT
OG- Will Blackwell? Watch out for Josh Williford 6'7'' 345 lbs next HG?
C-T-Bob Herbert ive heard hes solid too
    OG-Lyle Hitt
    OT-Joesph Barksdale

if Ciron goes then we replace LT LG and C thats a pretty big gap for a team that is relying on their o line.

The problem with getting these group of underclassmen to stay is this next draft will probably be the next draft that there is no rookie "cap" put on contracts. We're facing the same thing with Andre Smith. Rodger Goodell will more than likely follow through with his plan that was talked about a while back regarding rookies in the draft signing these enormous contracts.

I kind of like it because it gives a lot less incentive for players to leave early. Teams have a better chance of keeping their great players the full four years.

If the college season ended today, RJF would be staying.

He hasn't done enough this season to have NFL scouts putting him in the first round.

It would be great if he stays.

    My best guess:

    Starters - defense

    RDE Alem
    RDT Nevis
    LDT Woods
LDE Francois (move him to his more natural position)

    Backups (3 deep)
    DE Levingston
    DE Clement
    DE Corley/Edwards
    DT Hagans
    DT Nevis
    DT Aubrey

    Starters -offense
LT Barksdale (move him over and he'll just keep on truckin)
    LG Blackwell
    C Hebert
    RG Hitt
    RT McCoy

    Backups (2 deep)
    LT Faulk
    LG Spencer
    C Lonergan
    RG Dvoraczyk
    RT Shaw/Hurst

I really don't understand the need for a rookie cap. If rookie's are asking for way more then they are worth in the first round, why not trade the pick or pass on it and go sign a top FA?

So far, RJF is the one starter on the DL that I will really, really miss as an individual talent if he leaves.

On the OL, it's a bigger deal. There's talent behind them, but Black, Johnson and Helms are going to be damned near impossible to consdier "reloads". We'll be "rebuilding" next year on the OL, especially if Ciron goes pro.

That's not a bad thing. It's just not something we've seen in at least two years.

    Sporting socialism.

I say let the market determine the price.

If NFL fans are dumb enough to shell out, by day's end, $300 for two people to watch a game in a stinky, vulgar stadium and have beer poured down your wife's shirt, then pay the rookies whatever they can get on the market.

When the fans start staying home to watch the games on TV (and they will if they can't get enough credit to charge the expense) then suddenly salaries will become a huge item of interest...

    Wait....

What was this thread about, anyway?

    Sorry. :nope:

I expect Black to return, but if he doesn't I'm not sure I see Barksdale moving over. I would think McCoy would stay at LT & start. I also think we'd see Dworcazyk move over and start at RG.

I hope Black stays. If so, another year of a dominating line.

Where do you have Hitt playing? Dworaczyk is his backup this year.
