Not fully sure what that has to do with the 2009 Marlins, but to each his own. I like the Marlins, but I'm not crowning them kings until I see them beat someone other than the Expos. I know Tirk knows his stuff, but I don't see this one working out.
forgot my previous thought so here's my correction: Miguel Cabrera wins the triple-crown knocking josh hamilton out for the MVP.
just pointing out that sometimes his "out there" picks made to ruffle feathers actually come true. I think it has something to do with a blind squirrel's nuts or something.
i try not to pick the obvious especially in the NL parity league. they have 5 possible-quality starters but are young, obviously. their offense is going to struggle so hanley likely wont get pitches nor win the mvp but hey, you never know.
the offense is indeed what worries me. I know they can pile runs on bad pitching, but it's yet to be seen if they can scratch out runs on good pitching. I do like their club a lot, though. Will be interestng to see who they trade all these pitchers to in a few years.
is andrew miller going to be any good? i think i saw he was starting the year off in aaa and was going to come up as the 5. i saw him in chapel hill and ttown when he was in college and the dude just mowed people down with ease.
well he came in in relief in the 6th today and continued his control problems walking 2 but getting an out. he was rushed to the majors by detroit but should be ok in time. fastball looked kinda flat/farnsworthish to me.
wow nick adenhart, one of the angels top prospects the last couple of years, was killed after he pitched 6 shutout innings against the A's last night. A van blew thru a redlight and hit his mitsubishi killing 3 people. they fled but were later apprehended. was his 4th major league start.
