What will be the Tiger's record next season? What bowl game can LSU fans expect next season? Which game will be the "biggest" next season? Which game(s) could be a "trap" game?
I feel next year LSU can and will beat UGA and Alabama and Auburn. I only see LSU losing to UF and even then that may not happen. Trap game would be either Mississippi State or Vandy.
I am not trying to be a smart azz but: 1. 12 - 0 2. BCS Championship Game 3. All of them 4. Same as above. :LSU231:
10 - 3 (including bowl win) Cotton Bowl @ UGA as the biggest game because I think that could set the tone for the next game, UF, and the rest of the conference schedule. Trap game could be Auburn. Everyone expects us to beat them because the instability from this season. I don't think we will underestimate Ole Miss, Alabama, etc.
call me an idiot, but washington to open the season worries me a little. Can't really prepare for a team with a new coach. Just ask Tennessee who lost to UCLA under the same circumstances. I know Washington is bad. But with their QB healthy, they only lost to BYU on a phantom PAT, so they can play when healthy.
Auburn at the tail end of that trio of games has all the makings for a disaster. We're likely to be nicked-up and very emotionally spent. Fortunately, we have a week off before the game. Here's to hoping that Stafford and Tebow bolt this year.... I'm not worried about Washington. Sure, we can't prepare against a new coach. But he is still just that...a new coach...and he's taking over the Detroit Lions of the NCAA. Doesn't matter how good of a coach he may turn out to be, it won't happen instantly, and certainly not against a team that has such a lopsided advantage of athletes/talent. And let's not forget that they won't have any film of our new DC...at least not with this team.
The SEC can potentially be very down next year. Florida will be the clear-cut powerhouses, b/c all their studs will come back. Bama with no JPW will be like LSU this year. Georgia without Stafford and Moreno will be 7-5 at the best. Auburn with a loser as a head coach and that crazy offensive coordinator will be another 6-7 loss season. LSU and Ole Miss are the two to look out for imo in the West.
I thought about that for a quick moment, but then the though of Miss. State came to mind as well as Auburn because I think that most people will not expect much from them. LSU Coaches will have to do a good job of having the guys pumped for each contest. The body language and attitude from the team this year was nothing like 2007's team.
three very tough games that lsu will be dogs in. depends on how the OL replaces the helms and johnson. JJ will still need a good running game to be effective. seems like 2 losses is the best to reasonably expect.
Cant we win all of our games except for Vandy, play strong in the Rose Bowl and have ESPN dote over our higher level of play?
