EXACTLY...Ga doesn't know how to play football until the last 6 games of the season...and have you seen that schedule??? They won't make it out of Death Valley either...unless CBS screws us with a freaking 11 AM game time.

I agree. The pressure is on UGA this season. High expectations, accompanied with back to back SEC National Champions LSU and Florida. They are the only consistent top team in the SEC to choke at some point every year. I don't see why this year will be any different.

The bright side of our 08 schedule:
    N.Tex before AU
    Bye before UF
    SC (cough) before UG

    Before us:
    AU plays MSU
    UF plays Ark
UG plays Vandy (cough) but Tenn before that...

I hope Georgia is undefeated going into the LSU game. They will primed for a loss.

We had a big discussion in another thread awhile back about whether 2008 or 2009 is our better chance at an NC.

I was one of the few stating that this year will be decidedly easier based on:

    1. You gotta get Auburn while they are down a bit, even if it is on the road
    2. Arkansas sucks....badly...they will bounce back in 09
    3. Bama is still mediocre, you don't want to play them in 09 in TTown
    4. Florida on the road will be ultra tough
    5. Georgia is at home, I'll take that all day long
    6. MSU is a home game, they are an up and coming team
    7. Ole Miss at home in 08 much better than an improved team on the road in 09
    8. Cakewalk OOC schedule
    9. Offensive and Defensive lines probably best combined ever in LSU history in 08
    10. The Hat cannot be stopped

    9-3.

Inexperience at QB. Good o-line, very good at receiver, good at RB, maybe very good. On defense, excellent d-line, inexperience at LB, CB, should be set at safeties.

If our inexperience steps up and surprises and plays like they have experience, 10-2 is a possibility. But we could also lose a game we don't expect to lose, like Ky. last year, or Arky last year. I'm hoping Arky won't be as tough now that DMac and Jones both moved on.

I'm not so sure about losing to the Gators. Their offense will be as good as it was last season, but i still think their defense will still be suspect. Don't expect big things from the UF till they meet up with UGA. The first part of their season is tougher than usual. I see the Tigers losing 2 next year, my prediction, Losses to Aub (in a close one),and Bama worries me. That team "will" turn it around, and its just a matter of where and against whom. With us coming off a NC, everyones gonna be shooting for us.

Everyone has been shooting for us since '03. We're getting used to that now; though we handled it poorly in '04, an uninspired team if I ever saw one (was our coach, perhaps, the most uninspired of the bunch?)

I don't see us losing to AU, though winning there has been a near impossibility as of late. Still, we feel we were thoroughly robbed in two of those contests ('04 and especially '06.)

I think we'll beat Bama. As usual, Florida is a huge concern, as UGA will be (though I'm not sipping the Jawja kool-aid just yet.)

That's being polite about those 2 games.
'04, not as much. Who knows what would have happened in overtime.
'06 was disgusting. Those refs should all get kicked in the balls, beat with wet cane-poles, hung from Oak trees, and set on fire while a bunch of 8 year olds shoot them with BB guns.
